CASE Fellow & CASE i3 Fellow
Amanda Coombs is an MBA candidate at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she is concentrating in Social Impact and Entrepreneurship and serves as a CASE Fellow and co-lead. Originally from southeastern Virginia, she holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia.
Before Fuqua, Amanda led projects and operations across both the nonprofit and private sectors, with a focus on expanding access to education and economic opportunity. She is passionate about workforce development and education equity, and came to Fuqua to explore innovative, impact-driven business models that reimagine how social change is financed and scaled.
This past summer, Amanda was a Farber Fellow with REDF, where she consulted with one of their portfolio partners on a capacity-building project aimed at strengthening operations and supporting long-term impact.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Amanda enjoys all things outdoors—hiking, biking, and spending time on the water.
