Claire Cousineau is a Duke MBA candidate at the Fuqua School of Business. Before Fuqua, Claire spent four years at Stanford University’s Center on China’s Economy and Institution following her passion for grounding political and business conversation about China in data-driven research. While there, she co-authored The Highest Exam, named as one of The Economist’s Best Books of 2025.
Her time at Stanford shaped Claire’s belief that the most durable path to change runs through business. This conviction brought her to Fuqua, where she hopes to continue building the skillset needed to pursue a career that feels both personally meaningful and capable of harnessing business for good. She’s especially interested in bridging the gap between mission-driven work and mainstream industry. This summer, she interned at Procter & Gamble.
