CASE i3 Fellow
Erik was born and raised in Atlanta and studied industrial engineering at Georgia Tech. After an internship in engineering, he joined Deloitte, where he spent five years helping clients improve financial performance and data analysis capabilities. During this time, Erik moved to Colorado to chase his passions: backpacking, hiking, snowboarding, cycling, and spending as much time as possible outside. He is happiest at altitude, covering ground with friends, or planning the next route. He has a lifelong obsession with maps and with understanding places through direct experience. He came to Duke’s Fuqua School of Business to build a career around what he cares about most: the outdoors and the people who depend on it.
Through Case i3, Erik is exploring how capital can support businesses and organizations that get more people outside, believing that people protect the places they have personally come to love.
