CASE Fellow
Yasmine Connor is an MBA candidate at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business with a passion for advancing social impact through cross-sector collaboration, strategic problem solving, and inclusive leadership. Born and raised in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, she witnessed firsthand the economic and environmental challenges facing Caribbean communities. Those experiences inspired her to pursue a career focused on developing sustainable solutions that address the region’s most pressing issues.
Yasmine earned her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, where she worked on both internal combustion engine and electric vehicle applications. While her technical background equipped her to solve complex engineering problems, it also sparked a desire to better understand the broader economic, strategic, and policy considerations that shape the challenges affecting communities. At Duke, she is building on that foundation by focusing on strategy and finance, with the goal of leading cross-sector initiatives that create lasting social and economic impact.
As a CASE Fellow, Yasmine hopes to deepen her understanding of how business, government, and nonprofit organizations can work together to address complex societal challenges while helping her peers recognize that anyone, regardless of industry or function, can be a force for positive change. She aspires to build a career in a field that continually challenges her both personally and professionally while creating meaningful impact in the communities she serves.
