Beth teaches the Fuqua Sustainable Impact Student Investment Fund, a 6-credit experiential learning opportunity for students to manage a public equities portfolio for both financial and impact return.
Beth is a financial advisor focused on values aligned investing and wealth planning for individuals and institutions. Beth joined the Compass Private Wealth Advisors team at RBC Wealth Management in April 2026 after spending the first 20 years of her career at the intersection of finance, policy and sustainability. Prior to joining RBC, Beth served as CEO of Climate United, a national nonprofit coalition selected by the federal government to manage a $7 billion National Clean Investment Fund. Prior to Climate United, Beth led strategy for Calvert Impact, building new programs that helped drive over $1 billion in funds into economic inclusion, clean energy adoption and environmental sustainability. She has also worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, as a special assistant at the White House Office of Management and Budget, as a regional field director on the 2008 Obama for America campaign and as an associate at UBS Financial Services.
Beth received her bachelor’s degree in public policy and her MBA with a concentration in social entrepreneurship from Duke University and Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, respectively. An active member of the impact investing ecosystem locally and nationally, Beth serves on the advisory board for the CASE Initiative on Impact Investing (CASEi3) at Fuqua, the investment committee for the Aaron and Lillie Straus Foundation and the impact investment committee for the Baltimore Community Foundation. She lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with her husband and four young children.
